The Agile Framework Series | Scrum Jumpstart
It’s true – the human brain has lofty ambitions, but often doesn’t know where to start.
Time and time again, we at beLithe are witness to organizations becoming paralyzed by the sheer magnitude of where they want to go but not knowing how to get there.
It’s time to get focused and start working. Welcome to the incredible framework of the Agile mindset known as Scrum.
What to Expect:
This one-day accelerated course covers the principles and (empirical) process theory defined in the Scrum Guide that are the underpinnings of the Scrum framework and the various roles within it.
This course is a combination of instruction complemented by individual and team-based exercises.
Using the Scrum principles as a foundation, students are challenged throughout the course to not only become familiar with the process but to better understand what to do and why being Agile is essential. Using techniques from “Training from the Back of the Room,” this course is interactive and experiential. Working individually and as a team, students will participate in discussions and exercises and work on real-life cases.
During the intensive program, students will experience why The Framework Series: Scrum Jumpstart is the cutting-edge course for anyone coaching a development team towards increased efficiency and effectiveness. No matter what industry you come from, your organization can surely benefit from the Agile methodologies that compose Scrum.
Who Should Attend?
This course is for anyone interested in understanding and using Agile methodologies, particularly the Scrum framework. It is particularly beneficial for leaders within an Agile organization responsible for coaching, managing, and participating in Scrum teams.
No pre-existing knowledge of Agile or Scrum is required to attend.
“What’s In It For Me?”
Upon the completion of the program, you’ll be ready to fuel incredible Agile results via Scrum with a set of new skills, including:
- A clear understanding of the rules, roles, and ceremonies of Scrum through the empirical foundation of Scrum
- A preparedness to participate as a member of a Scrum team
- An ability to foster increased team effectiveness using Scrum
What is Scrum?
Scrum is a framework utilizing Agile methodologies in which people can address complex adaptive problems while productively and creatively delivering products of the highest possible value.
Scrum itself is a simple framework for effective team collaboration on complex products. Scrum co-creators Ken Schwaber and Jeff Sutherland have written The Scrum Guide to explain Scrum clearly and succinctly. This Guide contains the definition of Scrum, including its roles, events, artifacts, and the rules that bind them together.
Scrum is:
- Lightweight
- Simple to understand
- Difficult to master
